About Us

Welcome to Seoul!

Holiday Planners is run by the lovely Christine Cheong and Cindy Lee. When we are not playing gracious hosts to our guests, you can find us sitting back relaxing and reading up on history, in particular military issues as this has played a major role in the life of a South Korean.  When it is time for the brain to totally switch off, discovery channel is the winner with particular emphasis on the construction and production of mega structures.

Business

Prior to Holiday Planners beginning, life in the travel industry started in 1989 to get more of a chance to see the world, however travelling abroad was very difficult in South Korea due to passport restrictions and costs. Later on down the track we found ourselves more interested in showing and explaining our culture and history to foreigners, so the move to become an agency seemed natural and there has been no turning back since.

Holiday Planners was officially born in 1999 with an emphasis on providing tours. We also have incentive and reservation teams for hundreds of agents from across the globe. Our partner agents are in every continent with the majority of business stemming from Australia, Canada, Europe and the USA.

Team
We wish to show you the friendliness of the people, well balanced & nutritious Korean cuisine, and convenient transportation systems all in a safe and secure environment.

The travel and tourism field provides a unique chance to interact with so many different people in a variety of interesting situations, giving us a chance to experience diversified human relationships. In our quest to be the best hosts possible, we are learning more about our own culture and history, in turn developing a deeper appreciation and growing fondness for were we like to call home. In turn, you the traveller provide us with more knowledge of other cultures and experiences which is what we love most about our work.

Sustainable Tourism
Our main area of interest is culture sustainability. We endeavour to continue running our business with minimal impact on the Korean lifestyle and culture, two of the characteristics that tourists appreciate and learn about when they come to Seoul.
When you visit Seoul with us for example, you will be taken to real local Korean restaurants with a heavy emphasis on delivering superior quality food in a traditional Korean setting. Unlike other restaurants that pray on the tourist dollar and upon entering you find it difficult to see a local, with a table of foreigners on either side of you.

About South Korea
Seoul is the capital of South Korea and one of the ten largest cities in the world. Most people when they first think of Seoul may track back to 1988 and the summer Olympics which by in part put Seoul on the tourist radar.
Many tourists are blown away by the modern look and feel of the city with its high rise buildings, multi lane motorways and bustling night life. However, under this chic modern exterior still lies a traditional ancient city boasting old temples, palaces, well manicured gardens and ornate palaces.

You can loose yourself in one of the many museums the city boasts, ranging from historic to fine art. Of course no visit to Seoul would be complete without visiting the Olympic Park, which is full of memories from great sporting achievements.
