This land tour is the only local cultural tour in Korea that guarantees departure twice a month on the scheduled departure date, even if just one person has signed up, thus ensuring ease of booking and enabling tourists to make travel plans well in advance. Day 1: Arrival in Seoul

Our local representative will meet you upon arrival at Seoul's Inchoen International Airport and will transfer you to the local 4-start Hamilton Hotel where you will have the rest of the day at your leisure. In the case of pre-extension bookings, no transfer will be provided and you will have to arrange your own transportation with the airport limousine bus to the hotel. You can board it from bus stop 5A or 11B; it is the bus with the sign "Hannamdong" on it. The bus will set you back approximately KRW 14,000 per person and departs every 10-15 minutes from 04:15 to 21:00 hours.

Day 2: Seoul / Seoul City Tour / Seoul

After breakfast at the hotel, meet our guide and start a morning Seoul city tour. Visiting the National Museum, Secret Garden & Changdeok Palace and Seoul Tower on Mt. Namsan for a bird's eye view of Metropolitan city of Seoul. Return to the hotel by 3:00 pm and the rest of the day at your leisure, Itaewon area is good for shopping. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 3: Seoul / Korean Folk Village / Mt. Songnisan Nat'l Park / Daegu

Breakfast at the hotel and pick-up from the hotel in Seoul confirmed for each departure. Check-out of the hotel and transfer to Korean Folk Village outside of Seoul, where the old traditional style houses and life style of 18th-19th century are being practiced by people living in the village. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car. Move to Mt. Songnisan National Park and Beopjusa Temple. Afterward, drive to Daegu via the express way for 1 night at Daegu Grand Hotel (local lower 5-star)

Day 4: Daegu

After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to Gyeongju, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach. Upon arrival in Gyeongju, start an afternoon Gyeongju tour, which includes, Chomsongdae Astronomic Observatory, Royal Tumuli Park, and Bulguksa Temple. After the tour, check into the Gyeongju Kolon Hotel (local 5-star) for 2 nights.

Day 5: Gyeongju

Breakfast at the hotel, start your full day Gyeongju tour to Seogguram Grotto, 4-face Buddha, Gwaeneung Royal Tomb, and Scenic drive tour to Guryongpo Port. Drive along the sea road for beautiful coastal scenery. Return to Gyeongju and overnight in Gyeongju.

Day 6: Gyeongju / Busan

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to UnQmoonsa Temple (Buddhist Nun's temple), it takes about 2 hours by car. Proceed to Busan for a half-day city tour. Upon arrival at the Busan, you will visit Busan Tower, Jagalchi Fish Market, Nampodong Street. Overnight at local 4-star Busan Tourist Hotel in downtown.

Day 07: Busan / Haeinsa Temple / Andong / Chungjuho Lake

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Mt. Gayasan National Park via expressway. It takes about 2 hours. Visit Haeinsa Temple in the National Park, Haeinsa Temple has a world-famous Korean cultural treasure called Tripikata Koreana, a collection of 13th century Buddhist scriptures dating back to the Goryo Dynasty. The Haeinsa Temple has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Move to Andong, 2 hours away from Haeinsa. Andong is the best preserved village with its traditional style noble houses. In 1999, Queen Elizabeth II visited Hahoe Village and was welcomed with a birthday party table decorated in the traditional Korean manner. Hahoe Village in Andong is famous for its own mask dance. After visiting the village, proceed to Chungjuho (or Cheongpung) Lake. Check-in at Cheongpoong Lake Hotel (local 4star). The hotel has a beautiful view of Chungjuho Lake. Walking along the lake in the morning comes highly recommended.

Day 08: Chungjuho Lake / Gangneung / Samwhasa Temple Stay

After breakfast, take a ride on a sightseeing boat and enjoy the lakeside scenery. (During the winter season, the boat tour is subject to weather conditions. If the lake is frozen, the boat tour will be cancelled.) In Gangneung, visit Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum.

This museum houses an incredible collection of 19th century gramophones and first generation audio systems. Transfer to Mt. Doota for a unique temple-stay experience at Samwhasa Temple. Upon arrival at the temple, change into to temple garments that will be handed to you.

Please familiarize yourself with and observe all temple schedules and practices. You will have the opportunity to attend the evening bell-ringing, mass chanting and Meditation session. For one night, you will not have phone and TV in your private Korean traditional-style room. (No beds in a room) Shower room and toilet are combined. No alcohol is allowed within the temple premises. Two people will share a room. Stay overnight at Temple. (If you do not want to sleep on the floor, our guide will arrange a motel near the temple)

Day 09: Mt. Seoraksan National Park Tour with DMZ Tour

Wake up at 3:00 am for morning worship (optional, volunteer only). After breakfast at the temple, transfer to DMZ Unification Prayer Observatory at demarcation line at Easy Coast for a very close view of North Korea. Drive to Mt. Seoraksan National Park for a cable car ride to Gwonkeumseong Fortress and visit Sinheunsa Temple. Upon arrival at the national park, check in at the Kensington Star Hotel prior to taking a cable car.

After the tour, you can walk along the street and enjoy the fresh air of Mt. Seorak. During the winter season, a ski resort visit can also be arranged. You would have to pay for the ski gear rental fee and lift fee. Alps Ski Resort is a 40-minute drive from your hotel. Stay overnight at the local 5-star Kensington Hotel.

Day 10: Mt. Seoraksan National Park / Seoul

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Gapyeong, located about 2 hours and 30 minutes away to visit The garden of morning calm flower and tree park, which displays unique Korean wildflowers and trees in a garden located in a mountain valley. (For tours undertaken during January through April and November through to December) visit Yangpyeong filming studio with all the movie sets, instead of the flower park, as flowers are not in bloom during these months.

Transfer to Seoul, which will take approximately 2 hours. Check-in at the hotel and you will have free time for shopping at Itaewon Shopping District, which is well known to tourists and is a popular bargain-hunting paradise. Stay overnight at the local 4-star Hamilton hotel in Seoul.
